First screenplay written

Well I've written my first draft of my first screenplay. I'll leave it a while, go back to it, then make whatever adjustments to it that seem appropriate, make a second and third draft (and most likely more) before deciding what to do with it.

Next screenplay coming up. And the question is, what will it be about? I'm thinking something very different, and also using some of my own thoughts and ideas, beliefs and observations in the characterizations. When characters have strong opinions, it makes for strong subjects, and leads to good conflict with other characters.

I had a thought: maybe I should explore some relationships myself now, just to see where they might go. What relationships, for example, might I rekindle? What relationships can I go deeper into? What relationships, and types of relationship, can I explore? Relationships are essential to the creative person.

Maybe I can explore something along those lines in a screenplay.

We'll see what comes up.

I made (well, sketched, more like) a kinda music video thingey of myself yesterday for a friend in Canadia. Just took a Barry White song and mimed to it. Didn't do very good color corrections, didn't get the light right much of the time, didn't get the miming perfect at all. Lots wrong with it, but it was keeping my creative juices going as an editor. And keeping the creative juices going is what it's about.
